I thought it was only just a dream. After visiting the beautiful place of Coron, Palawan, now I wanted to go back there again.

In just 4 days, we enjoyed the breathtaking views of Coron and wonderful islands during our trip.

I've been in Puerto Princesa too and although both are in Palawan, there's a very big difference between the two. PPS is more like commercialized than Coron, which makes me like Coron more...

For nature lovers, you can have your best times to be spent here... Watch the sunset at the top of Mt. Tapyas... Relax in Maquinit hot spring... Eat fresh sea foods and enjoy the place... You can also do diving at the shipwrecks and enjoy the view underwater.. Don't forget the camera so you won't miss anything...

Now I really don't know what to write here.. I can't describe it in words.. You just have to see it for yourself and enjoy.. I already have plans of getting back in here... Maybe that time, i'll try diving... and more other stuffs we missed during our 4-day adventure in Coron...

Can't wait to get my own Starbucks planner for this year... but as of now, i still only got just 2 stickers.. yup 2 stickers.. too slow to reach the target...

this year's planner is kinda cute... and earth-friendly... :D don't forget to mention that the cover is made of wood or something like that..

hope to get mine soon... the planner in the photo is not mine.. it's from a friend.. i just borrowed to take a few shots.. :p

It's my second Canon Photo Marathon this time... and i think I got more nice pictures than last year...

This year's CPM was kinda different from last year.. yeah yeah.. i didn't expect anything... but at least I enjoyed it...

Canon Photo Marathon 2011 was held this year at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City... i think it is a good location since it is near to some good places to shoot...

Too late for a summer post entry?? Well, not really... This is just where I went during the long weekends for this month of October 2011. Me and some of officemates went to La Vista Pansol Resort Laguna to relax, have fun, and enjoy...

It's been years since I visited a public pool and this one is kinda different... Since it's not summer, there are only a few people in there. The place is also big... lots of spaces everywhere...

Getting there is very easy, we just took a bus ride from Manila (Buendia) which costs us Php 87.00 (just tell the bus driver to drop you off at La Vista Pansol.. they know where it is..) Then a 5-minute tricycle ride (costing Php 40.00) going to the resort...

The place is so good and very perfect for different types of events, like team buildning, company outing, they also have multi-purpose halls. Plus they have their own zip-line and a mini-zoo if you want to see some live animals :p The rates are not very expensive and they have different types of rooms to stay... promoting?? no i'm not... :p

It also has a nice view of some mountains and if you're a nature lover, you'll definitely enjoy the place.. There are a lot of trees, there are some quiet areas if you seek peace and relaxation...

Unlike my other posts here, i'm not saying i'm definitely going back here.. There are a lot of places i still want to try visit.. But if you haven't been here, you should try it IF you are looking for some places just to spend over the weekend or just want to swim, or relax.. i don't know.. it's up to you.. i'm just saying this place is a good one..

Unfortunately, I didn't brought a camera with me so some pics here were just taken from my Phone.. :D

Ok... I should have written this post while I was still there. That's why i brought a laptop with me so that i could sit in front of the beach and write this blog entry.

Anyway, ok.. finally, i was able to set my foot to this place I always wanted to go. And all I can say is that the place is so beautiful, great view, nice beaches.. Perfect vacation destination... Oh yeah.

And oh! By the way, before I forgot, I came here alone... yup.. only me and no one else... and what's interesting is that this is my first time to visit the place and also my first time to travel alone.. oh well.. I did survive the trip...

It didn't bother me whether I walk alone in the white beach or eat meals by myself 'coz I'm used it to it. and besides, i just came here to take pictures and spend some time alone... lols...

The place is so filled with foreigners, and most of them are Koreans. And while I was there, I thought I was somewhere else like in Jeju Island and felt like a stranger in my own country. But it was ok. It's like a practice if ever i decided to go international.. :p

Oh well, I don't have anything else to say in here... to sum it up, i enjoyed, i took pictures, i had fun, i met new people, the experience is awesome... and like i always say, i'm definitely going back to this place too...

mySpot | Palawan Trip [2011] + Birthday Celebration

I've been here before... Same place, same spots, same hotel, same food but the only difference is the people I was with. This is my second time to visit Palawan (Puerto Princesa to be specific) and things just became more exciting.

This time i brought an underwater camera (thank you Loren Lloyd).. and i really enjoyed taking photos of fishes, corals and other stuffs down there... It was pretty awesome... And also, how can i forget how i panicked under water when I saw a small jelly fish.. (but still i got a photo of that jelly fish).. and freaked out after seeing a triggerfish (which i thought was a stonefish)... t'was fun though...

And speaking of picture taking, This time was my first time to travel on a long trip capturing less than 1000 shots for the whole trip... I don't know. The last time I was here I took 1000+ shots per day. Maybe I just enjoyed too much that I forgot to take more photos... (or maybe because i have no extra battery and i'm trying to avoid to use flash too much)

This is also my first time to celebrate my birthday far away from home.. Yeah you heard it right... First time... In 24 years... Lolz... And I was like celebrating my birthday by taking pictures under the sea... :p

I met a lot of new people there... Tourists, local residents, other people... And again, you saw it right.. I met a lot of people.. Not the typical me meeting and introducing myself to strangers... (thanks to Antonis, Vangelis, Jovie and Jane, and others whom i've already forgotten their names) really i had a great time spending with them...

I also learned new things from the people I met, just then I realized life has more to offer.. that we should enjoy each day and each moment of our lives... Serious-much? and extremely corny??? John William's series of 'epic fail'... I miss that...

Anyway, I'm definetely going back here in Palawan.. it might take time before I could return here co'z i still have a lot of places to visit... I'll be looking forward to my future trips and hope it turns out to be a good one... Don't worry i'm definitely sharing the experience here in my blog... :)

Aliwan Festival 2011 - Held last April 14 - 16 2011 at the CCP Complex. It was so called the 'Battle of the Champions' being one of the most festive events in the country as it celebrates all festival activities from each regions.

This is my first time to attend the Aliwan Fiesta though I've known it some time long ago from the advertisements, but WOW, I wasn't expecting this kind of energy. I've been to some festivals like Panagbenga, Pahiyas, etc... but this event is like all those festivals combined.

It was also a good opportunity to photographers to take colorful photos from the street dancers, floats and the lovely candidates of the 'Reyna ng Aliwan'. Too bad for me, i'm just taking shots on one spot but I guess that was almost the best spot there because we where near the entrance...

I was expecting to see Nicole Hyala there but unfortunately, I got hungry and tired so I have to leave early... :) Sharing just some of the hundred pics I've got... Hope you like it.. :)

It's summer time!!! An one of the things we usually do during these times is go on a vacation trip, swimming, and a lot more things to do...

Last weekend, Finally!!!, I made my first visit to the famous Puerto Galera - one of the hottest (not the temperature) summer destinations in the country. Yes! I was there over the weekend...

Oh well, I got excited, of course, who wouldn't be.. But i was kinda disappointed when I saw the place... A lot of establishments were in place and it's kinda ruining the beauty of the place... But i did enjoy...

It was an another opportunity for me to shoot places, things and people... I just love taking pictures... And once again, my favorite subject.. my usual photo subjects, the boats... that's the only thing I saw there.. well not really, but i enjoyed taking pics from those boats...

I also tried again riding the banana boat.. It's an all-time favorite activity... Unfortunately I wasn't able to do the snorkeling thing due to limited time there but I know I'll be back..

I tried practicing long-exposure shots at night but then I got bored 'coz i saw a lot of parties happening everywhere... I can say this is gonna be one of the best short-time vacation trips I ever had...

I do have more photos on my fb account... I'm just going to share some of the shots I liked from my set... I promised myself I'll be back again on this place... soon.. maybe after i fixed my schedule.. Still have a lot of places to visit.. I want to try diving too...

Cebu, one of the places in the country that I always wanted to visit. And having this airline promo made my wish come true.. for only 1 peso.. well make that 2 for the roundtrip...

Last Feb10, it's our first family vacation for the year 2011... in Cebu... oh yeah!!!

It's a very nice time for our family to bond together, and for me, an awesome opportunity to practice my photography skills on a different location...

We went to different places, historical sites, visit some relatives and walked a lot... it's always been so tiring at the end of the day but it's ok.. it was fun...

I do remember when I was just a kid, we already did went to cebu but i can't remember the whole details and that time cameras were not so very popular yet... Now, my photos can be placed to my album where i can remember them all the time... :p

It's my first time to run 5K. (Well, i've been running 5K before but during my weekend runs only). And yes, it's a very nice experience...

The year 2011 is a brand new year for me... Yes!!! And I've been trying new things lately.. Last month (actually, it was November) when I started playing Badminton with my officemates... Because usually I just go home after work or go somewhere else.

Then just this December I joined a running club. It's actually more of a training thing, something like that where I we have this run every Wednesday night.

And to start my year, I run 10K at Run for love run for life fun run... of course it was fun...

It's my first official run and I thought I'll never finish the race. I wasn't first but my goal was to finish it while enjoying the run. :D

I don't know but i think i'm starting to like this running thing... aside from the health benefits, our coach told us that running is not a sport, it's a lifestyle... oh yeah...

I guess i'll be looking forward for more runs for the rest of the year... Thanks!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Welcome 2011... I should have posted this few days ago, but i was quite busy playing this Backyard Monster game in facebook. Oh yes... Still using facebook... Keeps me busy for quite sometime...

What's with me against Spaghetti... Oh well, it's my most favorite food on earth... Especially when made by my mom... I believe i have a previous post long ago about my top 10 spaghetti...

Anyway, as I am writing this one, i feel going to kitchen and eat spaghetti.. again.. yes.. i've been eating spaghetti the whole day...

Oh well, enough spaghetti, I just want to thank God for the wonderful year (2010) He has given me... I know this year 2011 would be special.. No! I think it would be great.. It's the year of the rabbit (my year) and I'm planning to enjoy it to the fullest.

I have plans on travelling to different places, learn new things and enjoy a brand new lifestyle..

What lifestyle? Oh recently I've been into running... I joined this Adidas AdiNation of Runners and its fun... it's great actually...

Oh well, i have to go back play the game again.. Happy New Year and God Bless!!!

mySpot | The Ultimate Palawan Getaway

Before the year ends, one of my travel highlights is my trip to Palawan with some of my friends.

We took a 4days 3n trip to Puerto Princesa and enjoyed our visit while we where there. We went to different places and tried some of the best exotic foods.

Tamilok (aka wood worm) is one of the well-known exotic foods in the place. My friends tried the breaded tamilok (urgh!) when we had our dinner at Kinabuchs...

On our second day, we went to the underground river (puerto princesa subterranean river national park). But before that, we climbed first at Ugong Rock (a 75-foot something limestone formation in Brgy. Tagabinet in Palawan). We entered inside the dark caves and climbed up on the creepy rocks... They said it was a 45-minutes climbed but it took us about an hour due to stops for photoshoots :) It's actually a perfect exercise 'coz you'll be sweating so much. And when you reach to the top, it's perfect. It was so nice to see the view and you can take pictures near the edge of the rocks.. creepy but fun!

After that, we went for the mangrove paddleboat tour where we saw so many mangroves, monkeys, snakes, and creepy things...

Then, we had our trip in the underground river. Our day ends after our dinner in Ugong Rock restaurant in the city.

On the third day, we had the water activities when we had our tour in Honda Bay (according to our tourguide tita con, it should be Hunda Bay with silent 'h')

We went island hopping to starfish island (where there are lot's of starfish ... as the name implies) and to snake island (but there was no snake there). We did some fish feeding, snorkling and enjoyed the underwater tour where i saw spongebob, nemo, mr. krabs :p and a lot of other things.

mySpot | 2010 Canon Photo Marathon turned into Cosplay shoot :D

Last Nov 6, I attended the 2010 Canon Photomarathon at SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia. It was my first time to attend such kind of event. Unfortunately there was a conflict on that day. It was the schedule also for my entrance exam in DLSU... Deciding where to go was too hard but then I got the brightest idea on being on both event on the same day.

Registration was FCFS basis so I wake up early and went to SMX as early as 6am to register on the event. I was able to register around 7am. After I got my kit, i took a cab and went to DLSU (my exam starts at 8am 'till 12noon). I wouldn't say the exam was so easy because it was not. I finished the exam at 11am and went back to MOA. Lucky for me, the first theme was just ending so i still got two themes to join...

It was a very fun activity. During that day, i also some cosplayers inside SMX since there was also another cosplay event happening on that day. (it was the UP AME cosplay thing.. plus there was this oath-taking for board passers that's why there was so many people there...)

I also saw two familiar faces, a friend from college and a high-school schoolmate both attending the cosplay event.

I really enjoyed it a lot and i wanted to join again on next year's event (photomarathon). I won't be uploading the pics here in my blog 'cause i already have them on my facebook photoalbum. :D

mySpot | Understanding Facial Gestures

Ever since I started watching the series "Lie to Me", I've been so interested in the art of reading facial expression and body language.

I think it's nice to know what people really wants to say even without saying a word. I've learned so many things from that series and I don't even know whether its true or not however it's effective.

I've tried reading some of my friends and we just make fun of it... There was one case when I was asking my friend something and she keeps on denying it. I told her, "hey! i know when you're lying"... when she says something, she was trying to distract me from by touching her hair, adjusting her clothes (i think it was called "distractors"), however it was just for fun.. after i told her she was lying we just laughed at each other...

But sometimes, knowing what someone really doesn't want to say isn't that good. There's no surprise or excitement or something else... well, i still like doing it...

Last night, i took an online exam on reading facial gestures and i almost got perfect scores.. and soon i will (what i wanted to be) a human lie detector... just like a deception expert... cool huh???

I've been saying these words since this early morning. It's not my birthday, or something, but I really do feel thankful today. It's seems like something has change or if not, soon it will come.

My office PC broke down.... and it has something to do with the corrupted OS. Too bad i just moved most of my files to that pc which includes important files, personal stuffs like pics and mp3s, some documents and other things. However, they were still able to recover most of it. I'm so thankful.

I know this is not much good for a story. There are few other things too but i really don't know how to put them on words. But anyway, thanks for reading. Till next time!

mySpot | cold 'Ber' months...

It's been quite some time since I last posted an entry on my blog. I might have been too busy with some other stuffs or I just don't know what to post.

A lot of things happened during those times... and some of them are quite memorable... Well, no need to refresh those memories...

I smell CHHHHRRRIIISSSTMMMAAASSSS.....

The month of September usually triggers the spirit of Christmas... everyone starts to get excited... early preparations, the usual stuff.. but on the next two months it would kinda stay low, and the excitement comes back again on the 2nd week of November.

We are also expecting cold nights again and the extended rainy season so we must bring our jackets or umbrellas most of the time and take vitamins to protect ourselves.

About the news, I don't want to talk about it.. 'coz everyone is already talking about it.. Let's just leave it up to the serious guys...

I'm still busy... at work, at home, at everything.. I don't even have time for myself... I think i need to change my lifestyle a little bit just to lessen the stress on everything.. hmm.. where do i start????

Anyway, I'll keep you updated again (hopefully) and i wish i could have some time to change my layout.. (i still owe my friend her blog's new layout request.. tsk tsk...)

mySpot | The LRT Ticketing Error daw...

I really don't understand the logic of the ticketing system of the LRT.
I had this experience that almost led me being trapped inside the station and the staff won't let me out, but not too serious.

I don't usually take LRT but I do buy Stored Value cards just in case i need to take one. One time, I'm on my way to Makati so i have to take the LRT from the office in Manila. When I came to the station, I inserted my ticket to the gate then I entered. I was hoping to get into the train as early as possible but unfortunately it was too crowded and the interval of the passing trains was so long compared to the usual time intervals... I wasn't able to take the 4 trains who passed by because it was already full and the station is getting crowded more.

After an hour of waiting for nothing, i then decided to take the taxi instead but when I was to go out of the station, the machines won't accept my ticket/card anymore. It displays an error or something so i have to report to the booth. I told the woman in the booth that I'll just go out because my card isn't working. Then she told me to wait longer but I cant because I'm gonna be late to where I am going.

The lady explained that if I leave without using the ticket, the process will be reversed so next time I use the ticket, I will be unable to get out again. But still, she let me out.

After a few days, some colleagues told me that the system will reset the next day so the reverse thing won't happen to me so i tried again to take the LRT. Too bad I cant enter the station because the machine won't accept my card and it displays the same error last time i used it. I went to the ticketing booth to ask for assistance.

The LRT staff told me that I didn't use the card when I went out the last time I used it (I was surprised it knows the date and time when was the last time I used it). Well just to avoid any problems I gave him 15 Pesos and he took my card and did something to it. When I inserted it to the machine it was accepted. Too bad the station was once again so crowded that I have to take the bus. When I was about to go out and inserted the card into the machine, I was expecting it the same error but no it didn't. It accepted my card and charged my another 9 Pesos.

Duh! What was wrong with the system. It was supposed to be just as easy as that... No reversed thing... Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm gonna take the train again but I'll keep the ticket just in case I'll be using it in the future.

mySpot | The Last Airbender might be the last

Last year of the same month, I posted an entry about the filming of the Avatar ('The Last Airbender). Few days ago, the movie was released. With all this not-so-good reviews, i still want to watch the movie.

Before watching the movie, i had watched the season 1 (cartoons) again. I really wanted to watch it in 3D but some told me not to watch it because I might be disapppointed but then I hoped not. Then I watched it.

Some parts are slightly different from the original. The acting was not-so-bad but not-so-good also... The effects are kinda nice... I like the sound effects 'coz it wakes me up when I fell asleep... Yeah... I fell asleep on some parts because it was kinda boring!!!... well not actually...

There was this scene on the first part when Aang said he was the avatar. When I first watched it in the animeted version, I said yeah it was cool. But in the movie, when he told them he was the avatar, I laughed. I don't know if its the execution of the line or the acting or I don't know. It didn't really went well...

As I watched the movie, I was really thinking to step out because I am beginning to hate but then I finished it...

Well, the only part i liked when i was in the movie house was when I was watching the other movie trailers... I also liked the movie credits at the end... lolz... Really, It was disappointing that their personalities was so far far away from the original. The story was supposed to be fun, but it didn't went well. I also didn't like how appa and momo looked liked... Hmmm..

I just have to re-watch the animated version just to forget the movie. I really should have listened to some friends who told me better not to watch it but at least i watched it. I hope (if there will still be) the next two books will be better (so much better) than the first one.

23... Happy Birthday to me... Am I happy? yes... hmmm.. a little... No... I am not... I am thankful, but no I'm not happy... Why??? I don't know... All I know is that I am so thankful for each day in my life...

It's my 23rd birthday. Yeah!!!... There are just a few things I want to have on my 23rd birthday. First, A venti-size mocha frappe with hazelnut syrup from SB... 2nd, Peace of mind... I'm contented with that... Plus remove the annoying people that makes my day not-so-fun-and-nice...

I still want to learn new things like Android Development, now i'm starting to study samsung dev... i might like iphone app development if i do have an iphone... well... right now, i'm burning all my eyebrows while working with oracle... I like oracle.. but it's not that easy.... more IT... more career development... no time for my self???

Who says i don't have time.. every weekend i do this Les Mills Body Balance Yoga thing.. then if time permits, i do the Body Pump and the Body Jam.... so cool.... :D

Due to lack of time, i do forget blogging... yeah... but hope this time again, i wont... :D thanks thanks!!!

Lunch Table Season 2 Finale | Agua "Rey" Bendito

It's gonna be the last episode for this season of The Lunch Table. I wasn't able to post some season 2 episodes because i wasn't there.. lolz... I'm not sure if there's gonna be another season for this since some of the main cast already left the show.

Well, all i can say is the cast and crew will surely miss these people. The first one who left the show was Lync, one of the housekeeping committee, then Kathy (aka Darna) oops... i shouldn't have said that... then Rey... the mood setter among the casts...

During my stay on the first season, an episode without rey is kinda not fun (not totally, because you'll really see the difference)... We'll surely miss the jokes, the stories about his 2 pamangkins and everytime he executes a joke really makes us laugh so loud and unstoppable.

This episode is a tribute to rey (lolz)... As he is one of the people who inspired me to continue blogging (i've stopped blogging before)... anyway, before rey leaves the country on his new journey (parang hindi na babalik eh), we want to thank him for the time he spent for the 2 seasons of the lunch table... if there will be a 3rd one, i'm sure it will be so much different.

On the lighter part, as rumors says, rey will have his own series on his journey, something that we are all waiting for. I hope this includes videos and a funnier stories and more...

mySpot | The DIY Photobooth :)

I like playing with my photoshop... and during my free times i just left it open and wait for an idea to pop up and do something nice.

Lately, i've been receiving requests to make invitations and other designs they needed and then I decided to make a photobooth-like photo from the pictures i have on our previous events.

Photos are not a problem, cause when the camera is in my hand, I always take lots of shots. I also like using 10 shots with the timer... :D its kinda fun.

I just used a 4x6 in layout and placed 4 photos on it... The design is patterned to the invitation i created for that event... (it's a baby shower party)...

Oh well... I just wanted to share that.... Till here.. Thanks!

Too late for the post? Nah! I'm just 1 week delayed for this.

Well, before the summer ended, I did enjoy the rest of it on a 2-days non-stop fun and excitement. The first one was the road trip to Tagaytay (previous post) and then we had this trip to Nagcarlan Laguna.

Thanks to Tita Nitz (Rachel's Mom) for inviting me on this trip. I was able to visit and see the fascinating beauty of the Nagcarlan Church and the nature as well.

We went to the market first thing in the morning, and while they were there buying food and stuff, che-che and I sneaked out to visit the church and had this photo taken... Then we visited some relatives of (I forgot the name of the choir member) and had breakfast... Then finally, our destination... (Again, I forgot the name of the resort).. But it was a batis although there are pools, the water still came from the river and it was so cold...

The water was so refreshing and very relaxing... Hmm.. Then we ate a lot, had jump shots and we just swim all day. Lucky for me, i didn't get sunburn. Thanks to ate for the sunblock... Anyway, we really had so much fun....

And before the trip ends. we attended the Sunday mass at the Nagcarlan church. On our way home, we tried our best not to sleep (even though we felt very sleepy) so that tita nitz won't fell asleep while driving. Too bad, I wasn't able to tell che-che the 1001 jokes I had, i only executed 50 of it...

mySpot | Tagaytay Roadtrip and the creepy zipline

It's a very busy weekend and too tiring on a hot sunny day, but its worth the fun of enjoying the day together in Tagaytay.

Well, who can say, our usual bonding before is just going to the mall, staying on one's house, once-a-year swimming, and that's it. But now, things have changed a little bit, we've been going to far places, doing road trips, traveling to places and having fun at the same time.

Actually, the original plan is to make our 2nd visit in Lucban Quezon... (roadtrip to quezon) but Apple suggested to try Tagaytay. We have our breakfast in Jollibee... then, we went to Tierra de Maria. After that we were supposed to go to Picnic grove for the zipline, but then we got lost (kahit na magkatabi lang pala yun) and reached the highlands... We just have our photoshot and went back to Picnic Grove to try the zipline...

It was pretty scary but it's worth the experience... Apple was screaming out loud while we were on it... However, it was nice... :D

Then, we had our lunch at Dencio's, and made fun with the good-for-5 chicken... (the chicken on the plate as seen on the photo)

I also brought the photo-album (our photos after college to recent) and we showed it to Cathy's bf... We were still laughing as if we haven't seen it before... And now, I've got lots of new pics to print and to compile in a new album...

Even though we haven't got what we were expecting (the cold breeze of wind), the experience was very memorable and one of a kind...

mySpot | Bright Venus + Crecent Moon = Creepy Things

I was having dinner when I heard my little cousin asking my mom to go outside and see the moon. When I went outside, I saw the moon and the bright thing above so i rushed to my room to get the camera and took a shot. It was kinda blurry but the image was there.

I googled this thing and found out that this was venus above the moon.

I went back down and listen to my relatives discussion about this phenomenon. According to them, according to the old people, this is not a good sign. It signifies that a calamity is coming.

They also said that it's not good for pregnant women who will have their babies on that day especially for first born babies. My tita told me that when she was having her first baby, the moon was like that and she had her difficulties. My lolo told her to pray and pray and pray and everything came fine.

Of course, it's your call whether you'll believe me or not... But let's just pray that this things coming won't happen. Let us pray for our safety everyday and world peace too...

Are you happy? - As most of the people ask. Am I happy???, (Of course! Walang pasok) Well, I don't care... (just kidding). As long as most of my chosen candidates won, no problem.

Well, Funny how it seems that some people voted out of no-choice. However, there are some who really deserves to be on that position. I asked some people why they voted for this candidate and below are the answers they've given me.
- because this person appears on TV.
- because this candidate is an artist.
- because this one looks good... ???
- because... i have no other choice...
and some other funny answers but true...

Lol... Anyway... That's the reality. We just have to deal with it or whatever...

"Never stop learning", says the post-it sticker on my monitor at the office. And now, i'm currently exploring the world of Android Development.

Recently, i signed-up to Globe Labs to study API to use on my own applications... and then i received an invitation to attend Android Developers Workshop. Well, it caught my attention. I am currently studying developing applications on Android using eclipse.

Yes, it's Java... I am familiar with Java programming, in-fact when I was in college, i am more comfortable working with Java.. But in my work, I have to deal with Visual Basic, and C# (which is far far different that's why my Java became rough again) so I have to review Java Programming and the un-ending "hello world".

After reading e-books about Android development, i tried to set-up the SDK on my pc and voila! My first hello world program in Android seen on the screenshot above!

From the blog post title itself, this entry that I want to share is about my quick trip to the city of pines, Baguio City.

In just 2 days and 1 night and a little budget, I visited lots of nice places and tourist destination in Baguio.

I'm a little broke this past few months so I'm trying to limit my activities and expenses to the minimum. And for just Php 3,500, I was able to travel and visit Baguio and buy few pasalubongs.

Though I've been there a few times, I still want to go back and experience the fun of being there... But not during the Panagbenga Festival 2010. Last year, I was there, and there are so many people all over the place... It's hard to find a place to stay, and a place to eat.. But it was fun... However, this time, I just want to enjoy a more peaceful Baguio that's why I went there before the Festival.

Actually, this is my first time to go there without someone who knows the place more and knows where to go and find the nice places there. Thanks to GPS, We weren't lost on our way. And I have to text a friend just to ask a few questions... actually, a lot of questions.. :D I had prepared an itinerary of this trip but I forgot it, so I have to make some on-the-spot itinerary for that trip.

I did enjoy taking lot's of photos from everywhere. Even while walking in the streets, you can't resist to turn of your camera for a while but instead I just took a lot of shots.

We also visited the Strawberry Fields farm but to be honest, I don't eat strawberries... But I do like 'strawberry-filled' flavored donuts... I don't know...

I've been to Baguio before but I've never been to Burnham Park. Yes. I've never been there... I've seen it, but not went there. So this time, I made sure that I'll be able to go there and thankfully, I found the place nice and very relaxing especially during morning.

At night, lot's of people are on the streets, it's like life stays 24 hours in the city. Cabs and Jeepneys are everywhere so you won't get lost. And the local people are friendly too.

I still want to go back to this place. And next time, I want to try the deluxe bus from Victory Liner going to Baguio. I also want to stay longer, however the temperature is different when you go back here in Manila.

mySpot | 2010 Sto. Niño Fiesta - Dinagsa Festival

I just want to share these few pics I've took when we went to visit Sto. Niño Church in Muntinlupa City. It was the feast of the Sto. Niño and there were lots of people around.

There were also lots of band (street band or whatever they call that) parading inside the village. (i heard 37 or more different bands from different towns and cities were there) and there were competitions... :D

It's nice to visit the place where we used to live, i have some time to remember the streets where I used to play, and the school where I studied kinder level. :D

It was really nice, and tiring but I enjoyed the day because I celebrated Valentines Day and Chinese New Year with my family.

Wala lang.. Just a thought.. What if the candidates running for presidency in the 2010 elections joins Pinoy Big Brother... and since double up edition, let's include the vice-presidential candidates for House A and House B respectively.

Let's see who will be nominated and evicted and who will be a part of the big 4 (or 5). What do you think would happen to them? Let say, they will stay there for a couple of weeks, with lot's of cameras around and the people will see what they are doing on those times while they are inside.

Then there will be nomination rounds, and eviction nights where the nominated person could be saved from text votes... Who do you think would win???

Random Thoughts | "Hello, World!" Programming 101

"Hello, world!"... One of the first few things i learned when i was starting to study the basics of programming.

According to Wikipedia, a "hello world" program is a program that displays the phrase "hello, world" to a display device. This phrase has been used widely in programming books for examples and other things.

But not is not the reason why i wrote this post.

When I was young, I wanted to be a doctor. But since i really don't like to see blood and other stuff, i changed my mind. When I was in elementary, I really didn't mind what I wanted to be one... Maybe I guess I was too busy playing around not thinking of the future for me. Though I wanted to be a superhero but when it comes to reality, i really don't have an idea.

When I was in high school, i wanted to be a teacher... but that was a bad idea for me, because i wanted to take revenge on what my teachers did to me. difficult exams, on-the-spot recitations when i had no idea at all about the topic, and many more... but still i did enjoyed my high school life on extra curricular activities... i did became a celebrity during that time...

And before I entered college, i wanted to take a course that doesn't have math subjects... I do like math... It's the subject that doesn't like me... :D So I tried to list down the courses that has math the least... Unfortunately, I don't know what happened that now, I am a programmer. I took Information Technology. Well, at least not Computer Science... :D

Now that I am working (i'm still young.. I'm a newbie.. a year-old newbie at work), I need to study again some programming things, because I need to learn new things... That's why they always say "learning never stops"... So I have/must learn a new language to survive in the race... not "language" as like Chinese or Japanese, a programming language...

So "Hello World", welcome back... And "Stress", here I come... Lolz

mySpot | The Unplannable Starbucks Planner

Last Week, I got my Starbucks Planner... Actually this is my second planner from SB this year. I gave the first one to my ate and then I got this.

I was so excited to put up my plans here unfortunately, i already have a Calendar in my phone and an MS Outlook in my computer. So I'm not sure if can use it all year round, so i decided to make it as a log book. I got the 2nd planner on January 5th and when i received it, i asked my co-workers (who were with me on SB that time) to write something on that day.

Then the next day, I wasn't able to go to work. The next day (7th of January), me and a friend were discussing a trip to Ilocos somewhere in March, after then, i told her to put that event on the 5th of March in the planner...

Then, there were a few seconds of silence only to find out that some pages where missing... There are only two pages for february, and two pages for march, and the others are not there... I was so sad about this and i said to myself, how can i make plans to this unplannable planner... tsk tsk tsk...

After work, I went to SB to report the unplannable planner, and the good thing is that they replaced it with a new one. Sayang lang ung mga previous notes... and before I left, We checked all the pages if it's complete or not... Then un na.. :D Moral Lesson: Count your change before leaving the counter.. :D

I'm kinda transforming my workplace into an art gallery... Soon i'll be posting photos and i'll remove the other stuffs posted on my wall... But first, let me show you my first work of art (or should i say work made from doing non-sense things during breaktimes). "Sticks"

I made the "Sticks" from toothpicks (a gift i received from our Kris Kringle last December with the category of something earth-friendly) and from Wooden Chopsticks. I just glued some parts of it then, there you go, my first work of art "Sticks".

I'm not sure if i'm gonna keep it or i'm gonna throw it few months from now, but for the mean time, it'll stay on my workstation.

It's actual colors is light brown but on this photo, it looked like green due to my camera settings and light effects... :D

Ill be updating some photos soon but if you don't like it, i'd better not. :D thanks!

When I saw the news online that Microsoft already released the beta version for Office 2010, I couldn't wait too long to put my fingers on the keyboard and try it.

Although, it's kinda similar with the UI of Office 2007, there are lot's of features added and new graphical menus, including some added features for Microsoft Office Communicator. And of course, MS Outlook has now the ability to send sms.. nice isn't it...

Though I'm not really into using this yet, I downloaded the beta version just to see what's new here... I still have my office 2003 'coz i'm much more comfortable with it...

Download the office 2010 and try it yourself... Have fun!

Here is a screenshot of the MS Excel for Office 2010... The only thing I liked is the colors... :D

mySpot | Cosplay! Cosplay!

I'm so excited for my first cosplay party event this year... I even made my own costume so that i could have control over the minor details.

I'm one of the committee for our Christmas party and during our first meetings, we have decided that our theme would be something like a cosplay. And it was a hit... everyone really took effort in preparing their costumes... and it was very nice! Although it wasn't exactly perfect like real cosplay events but it was good.

Lot's of anime/cartoon characters attended the event and we're hoping to have it again sometime next year.

I wish i could share some of the photos but others are currently engaged is other parties so i hope by next week I could have them.. But really... I enjoyed a lot in this party... :D ciao!

mySpot | Dead Tired

These past few weeks, I haven't been able to update my blog... I've been quite too very busy for the first half of this month with so many things to prepare and to do for something even during weekends...

I just woke up after a 3-hour sleep after I had this more than 48 hours of being awake... But it made me realize that it's hard to become a vampire.. (as they said vampires don't sleep)... being nocturnal is different because you can sleep during the day... me??? nah!.. not really...

Well, hindi naman parating ganito... sabi nga ng boss ko, minsan minsan lang naman, so what's the reason not to enjoy... The good thing here is that there is no need to drink... After the successful cosplay event, we went in Starbucks and stayed until 3 in the morning, then we walked along Malate going back to the office... I was actually about to go home because I still have another set of parties to attend the next day but then I did not... I stayed in McDonalds till 5 in the morning then I went home... But that's not the end yet, I still went out to do some Christmas shopping with my sister until 2pm... Then finally i took a 3-hour sleep and now i'm blogging again... And i still want to sleep...

And before I say goodbye, I want to thank everyone for the gifts they gave me... I knew writing the same gift on two different wishlists is not a good idea.... lolz... but really.. thank you... :D I still have the other half of the month so I guess the party still doesn't end right here and right now...

Random Thoughts | December Déjà vu - Double 22

Every Month End, I make sure that my calendar is already displaying the next month so when I look at it on the next month, its ready.

This time, I forgot to do it... And while my co-worker was checking some dates from my calendar, he was surprised to see this double 22... Funny, because one of my favorite numbers is 22...

This is definitely an error with the makers of this calendar... It could be a typographical error or something else...

But if you widen your imagination, this could mean something else... It could be a sign or should I play the lottery with this numbers...

Or... this might have to do with the winter solstice... Its the time when the night is longer on which this night might extend for more than 24 hours and skip 23 of December.

mySpot | No Vampire Diaries this December???

I just checked the episode guide of the vampire diaries in Wikipedia and found out that the 11th Episode of the first season will be aired on January 14, 2010...

According to the CW Blog, CW will re-broadcast all first 10 episodes in a special Vampire Diaries Marathon starting December 14.

Let's just all wait for the 11th episode to be aired early next year and find out Elena's reaction when she saw Katherine's photo on Stefan's room...

Well, I guess vampires will have to celebrate their holidays somewhere else that's why they will just return next year..

I hope the other series will continue to air this month... And finally, the 3rd season of Chuck will be airing soon...

My sister told me I should not be eating Glawdi 'Glow-in-the-dark' Lollipop. It's because it has something in it I don't wanna say in here... But she introduced me to a new food (it's not a candy)... The Yogurt Fruit Sticks.

I've been hearing this fruit sticks long ago but i just saw it in actual form itself today. It was extra long (as said on the wrapper)... It's like a yogurt inside a long tiny straw... and the fun part is that you have to push it or press it to make it go out... you can choose what side to start and go to the other side when it became harder to get out... I'm actually not making a point in here... I can't really describe it.. I suggest you try one... I'm just not sure where to buy it because my sister gave me a whole pack and I didn't asked where she bought it...

We were watching 'New Moon' (yes.. I watched new moon twice.. first yesterday, as on my previous post.. and today...) and I can't concentrate to what I'm watching because I was trying to focus to get the yogurt out of the long tiny sticks... but thankfully that was my second time to watch the movie so I really don't need to focus on the movie... lolz...

Anyway... I'm just sharing this thing if you haven't tried it yet... I took a photo of this yogurt sticks.. I put them on the bed and took a photo of it... I hope ants won't get to my bed... So you better try it and enjoy the fun...

mySpot | New Moon - The Vampires and the Wolves

I was really hesitating to watch this 'new moon' movie. I thought watching it would disappoint me when I am currently watching the 'Vampire Diaries' series. But still, I tried and it was just 'ok'.

I know it was supposed to be a love story. The story is , again, 'ok' and some of the characters were boring... Except for one.

I was so amazed by the character of Jane (Dakota Fanning). She was so brilliant and her role as a vampire was very nice. I mean, she's fit to be a vampire. I just felt sad that her appearance wasn't that too long, but then I heard that she's still be on 'eclipse'. So that's the only thing I wanted to see and that's what will make me wait for the new movie.

There was this one scene which I find very funny. It was when Bella was trying to drive the motorcycle and she bumped into the rock, then there was blood in her head. Then Jacob rushed into her and he suddenly removed his shirt and used it to wipe out the blood on Bella's face. I thought, why do they need to do that??? But then suddenly I realized they did to get the viewers attention and they did it... The people started to giggle and make funny sounds. That's the first time I saw an accident in the movie and the next thing they did was that.

And the ending wasn't good enough... It's like there is no effect or whatsoever. It's just like Edward asking Bella to marry him and the next thing that happened is the screen went black and that's it. It's like something in the end was missing... It could be some emotions or feelings or just the way Edward delivered the line... I don't know but never mind.. The movie is not bad at all... It was a little bit good...

I'm just gonna wait the next movie.. Not because of them.. but because of Dakota Fanning... She was really good! Till here.. Ciao!

It's Christmas
My mom and I just finished setting up the Christmas Tree this morning and we just learned a new technique in making the Christmas Tree looked like the Christmas Trees in the mall using our old decorations and the Christmas Lights are still working...

Talk of the Town
Everywhere I go today, from local tv news to internet news, and even to the streets outside, people are just talking the same topic. Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto's boxing fight where, once again, Pacman make the Filipinos happy and proud. Though I'm not a big fan, all I can say is congratulations... (same tone with wowowee's congratulations girl)

Almost an accident
I was on my way to home from SM when this happened. I was riding a jeepney and i'm seated on left side at the back of the driver's seat. I was listening to the Pacquiao conversation of the driver and the two other passengers at the front when from far away, a boy ,pushing a wooden cart with 5 gallons of water, tried to cross the street and he was almost on the middle of the road. The driver didn't slow down but rather swerved slightly to right and when the vehicle was almost near the boy. the boy pushed the turned the cart back to the right side of the street going to the direction of the jeep. The driver quickly turned the jeep and luckily, it didn't hit the kid but all the passengers where shocked at what happened and I can't even describe it properly... Anyway, thank God we're all safe.

No Traffic
Everytime Manny Pacquiao had a boxing fight, the streets are clear and it's good to travel if you hate heavy traffic. Well, it's just most of the people are staying watching in front of the tv hoping for Manny to win the fight.

A little bit of Shame
We all know, that 'some' (quote and quote the word some) of the traffic law enforcers that we see most of the time are often referred to as 'crocodile' or buwaya in local language. Well, I've seen them most of the time during their work hours where when the jeep (usually) stopped, the go near on the side of the driver and the drivers give them few coins (5 pesos sometimes). Anyway, early this afternoon, the driver was about to give a 5 peso coin to the traffic enforcer, unfortunately he was on the side of the road, he was about to come closer when he looked and saw the passengers looking at him. He then gave a hand signal to the driver to move and he stepped back. The passenger seated in front said 'Aba, marunong din pala silang mahiya' Lol... :D

Who is better in terms of knowing the truth? Is it the Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell or Dr. Cal Lightman???

If you are not familiar with the two, Mother Confessor is one of the lead cast in the series Legend of the seeker, and Dr Cal is the deception expert/scientist from the series Lie to Me, both running on it's second season.

Both of them has the ability to know is someone is telling the truth. They also have their own ways of knowing which one is saying the truth. But which one of them is better???

Mother Confessor knows if someone is telling the truth by just looking at them, or sometimes, she have to use her powers to confess someone. Meanwhile, Dr Cal Lightman and his team gets to know if someone is telling the truth by just looking at them and observing their actions. But he still needs to create a baseline to know when a person is lying or not.

Both lived on different time and they are just fictional characters from these series, but if you know them, you might wonder which one is better... Not unless Damon (from the Vampire Diaries) took away their memories and changed it with other thoughts. Both will find it difficult to learn the truth... Lol...

I'm not really a big fan of vegetables but today, I did something new which I don't know if I'm gonna do it again or not.

We are quite very busy in the office this month, and since the Christmas is fast approaching, we are early planning the events for the Christmas Party 'coz I'm one of the committees... And one of our major events is a competition for the next top model.

Actually, the idea just popped in while I was thinking for some ideas for the events and I thought, 'hey, why don't we have something like this next top model search or something...'

So we sent invitations (within the team where sub-teams will compete) and luckily some got interested and joined.

I never thought, they would treat it seriously but when I saw the first batch of photos taken from the model, I just said 'Whoa'...

So going back to the vegetables, some of my office mates made a vegetable salad (not the photo). They shared it to everyone. Well I was kinda busy and I was thinking lot's of things that time, and when I saw it, the next thing I knew is that I was putting some into my plate.

Ok, I said I want to try new things... And while I was chewing the leaves I realized it was good but I felt that I was like a giraffe chewing the leaves. Anyway, it was nice to try it and it was good...

Recently, i've been trying to occupy my time by designing blog headers for my blog and for some other blog, but it seems that I can't find a perfect one for my blog.

Just this year, I've re-decorated the layout of my blog so many times until I learned to tweak the css codes... I have so many ideas but i can't put it into one. I also have my test blog as the dev environment so that I could test new layouts on it and I'll put it in production by applying the changes to my blogsite. Too technical??? Nah!

There are times when I find the right header but I can't match the perfect menu buttons on it... It's so easy on my mind... It's really hard to pick and choose color schemes that's why I often create gray scale stuffs... Thanks to online color schemes and downloadable gradients my simple problem is solved.

When I designed a new layout for my friend's blog, I said 'hey I like this layout, i also want something like this!' so probably next year, i'll be working on a new layout again depending on my schedule... Well, if you want to have a new blog header, just let me know... :D

I've been quite so very busy these past few weeks doing so many things.

I've been working on a new blog layout for my friend's blog. I'm studying japanese and korean languages (for now, I'm like a kinder student trying to read the hiragana and hanguk very slow... at least I could recognize them)... And I'm still studying some stuffs due to my recent team transfer... I wasn't even able to update my blog for quite some time and i'm planning to change it's layout again. :D

When I opened my facebook account (which is currently full of dusts and spider webs) I have so many invitations received for this Cafe World Game... No more farmtown, few roller coaster invitations, no more pet society, farmville, mafia wars, and the rest of those games.

I have just started my own cafe world and I still don't understand what to do with it. Anyway, I guess this game doesn't hit to me at all... I'll just keep my self busy for some other things and when I once again find interest for this game, I'm gonna play this one soon, but not too long that it would be out na.

Lunch Table | Season Finale

After 10 months on my second team on my first job, a new road to success once again was added to my path. Looking on the bright side, this will be another level up for me but on the other side, i'll miss the people i was with during these 10 months.

During my first few days on the 7th floor was so hard. It was so quiet. It was different from my previous team. But as time pass by, i observed, and suddenly, i learned.

Well, I'm gonna miss the fun during our lunch times, breakfast, and meryenda on this table. All the stories from Rey which made us lol (laugh out loud) to the highest level. The political issues discussed and many other topics.

Sabi nga Donnie at ni Wy, hindi na ako perfect.. Kasi sa lunch table na un, lahat perfect... It's like there is a giant glass surrounding that table in the pantry, and when you are inside, you are perfect.

While we were on the pantry this afternoon, I just heard nothing else except for 'spongebob'. At si sir gary pa ung nagsabi nun... hehehe...

Well, I guess this would be my last episode for my series post 'Lunch Table'. I hope i would enjoy this new journey that I would take.

One night, when I was on my way going home from work, I looked outside the window of the bus and saw this neon sticks floating and moving on the dark streets. And when I looked at them again, it's just a glow-in-the-dark something that some high-school students have with them.

Our neighbor had this candy store and I found out that they have this glow-in-the-dark lollipop.... Actually, it's not the candy which is glowing. It's the stick. The lollipop stick is a glow stick which is a single-use translucent plastic tube containing isolated substances which when combined make light through a chemical reaction-induced chemiluminescence which does not require an electrical power source. Whatever.. I just saw that definition from wiki.. Lolz... (ok.. I just read the wiki article and found it very amazing... hehehe)

Anyway, funny how many people buy this lollipop and it's not just the kids... I was a passenger on this jeep when I saw two other passengers (a college girl and her boyfriend) having glow sticks on their mouth. I also saw some high school students and some little kids. I also like this candy..

But unfortunately, you only have to eat this during the night and in some dark places so that you can appreciate the beauty of it... Try it but not too much... it's fun...

During my free times, I usually stay in front of the computer doing non-sense things like editing photos or just surfing the net... I think during the time I did this, there was this tv ad about a beauty soap with the same tag line as with this photo... When I uploaded this to my friendster profile, lot's of my friends reacted and said it was nice and funny... Well, it is..

Waking up before the sun rise, (well technically 4 in the morning) is one of the things I've been doing in from Monday to Friday just to avoid the traffic on my way to work. Crazy, you might say, but I don't have any choice.

But these coming months, days or weeks, it's not bad to wake up early because when you go outside, you'll feel the coldness of the wind blows. It feels just like Christmas.

And what's best about the cold winds is that you can also listen to a Christmas song thru your ipod or phone and it feels so good. Empty streets with only street lights, (kulang na lang snow). everything would be perfect.

But looking on what's happening right now, the reality is far more important to think of better than something else. I just wish and pray that everything will just be fine. It might not be the same way as it is before, but it could be something better. Till here. Ciao!

These past few weeks, I've been continuously visiting the sites of PAG-ASA and I've been watching the news for the weather updates.

Although I already have a daily weather update from my phone, being updated in real-time is not that bad.

Well, when I checked the site of pag-asa, I saw this satellite view of the typhoon Peping and when I saw this yellow color surrounded by white clouds, I just said "Whoa!".

Typhoon Pepeng (Parma) who was big few days ago just became tinier than this other one. But according to the news, this 'super typhoon' won't be hitting the land (Philippines) but it might enter within the country's area of responsibility.

Well, we don't control the earth's circulation. All we can do is to be prepared at all times. Have faith in God, don't lose hope and the most important thing, keep praying.

After a long period of no classes after the typhoon, the classes are now back again. Hmmm.. Although I'm not a student anymore which means I have to go to work. But the thing is, if the students are back to their classes, this means heavy traffic for me because there are lot's of schools on my way to work. And my travel time is once again extended which means I have only 4 - 5 hours left to sleep.

But this is not a good way to start the week so let us just smile and let us all say 'Thank God I'm still alive today!'. Possitivity always brings out good things in you... I know...

Well, what do have today??? Aside from a deadline from my tasks, today is Monday and Monday is Pancit Canton Day.. Yey.. And I'm excited to watch the next episode of the Big Bang Theory. And what else.. hmmm.. I still don't have a twitter account.. Why??? I don't know.. I don't think it's neccessary.. Lolz :D

With the upcoming 2010 elections next year, many of the current popular politicians and the never-heard politicians are aspiring to become 'the one', dreaming to sit on the highest chair and live on a palace, you can even ride your own plane and travel around the world and befriend all the world leaders.

Just like one senator said on an interview about what she thinks on the number of the presidential aspirants who wants to run next year, "The more, the merrier". Well... She's right.. The more, the merrier... There is nothing wrong of having the ambition of becoming a president. But the question is, Do you have what it takes to be one???

Everyone wants to be a president even in small things. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a president. When I was still a student, I once became the Class President. When I was in college, I wanted to become the President of our organization but I didn't win because someone else was better than me so then i wanted to be the next president. And the dream didn't stop and until now, I still wanted to become a president.

But when you are already in the position, can you handle the pressure? Because when you are in the position of such, the dream fades away and the reality is starting to sink in. Sure it easy to handle a group of 10-20 person. It could be easy to lead a small organization. But the whole country??? I don' think so. Maybe they could.

Everyone wants to become the next president. Well, one thing for sure, we could trust them all. They are all deserving to be trusted, i think so. But it is up to them whether they would use our trust in good ways or the other.

According to the constitution, "no person may be elected President unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, a registered voter, able to read and write, at least forty years of age on the day of the election, and a resident of the Philippines for at least ten years immediately preceding such election." But with the current trend, I guess we should add "no person may be elected unless he is rich and famous, or has was a celebrity in the past few years"

What if we change the way it should be. Those who wants to become a president shall not become one, and those who doesn't want to become a president becomes the one. I know someone who is just a simple person and a follower of God who became a great leader not only once but changed the way the country goes where she wasn't dreaming of becoming a president at all.

Being a president requires a lot of strength and effort from within. With this recent calamit, the one should know what to do. One should be careful in all actions because all eyes are upon you. Every mistakes are counted rather than the good things that you do. With all these I realize now I don't want to become one. I just need to be myself and help choose someone who is better and someone who deserves to sit on the chair and live on the big palace. Let us all find that one.

There are times when the things that I want in my life becomes blur. (naks! hanep sa intro)

Ok... Drawing, for me, is a skill or an ability which is not on my list of talents. I'm not that artistic in drawing or sketching. I even can't perfect a straight line without using any ruler or draw a perfect circle without tracing the coin.

But sometimes, (just like Aang on his avatar state), I can draw simple things which I consider abstract (para wala ng kumontra)...

One time, I was looking at my notebook while holding a pencil, when suddenly I thought of drawing my own hand while holding the pencil... It was very difficult... But then I started from few single strokes then taddan! instant hand holding a pencil... then i put a real pencil to make it more weird... hmmm.. weird???.. that wasn't the word i was thinking... Anyway.. here it is... something like a small child can do better than me.. :D

One of my most favorite hobby is eating. And one of my most favorite foods to eat is Spaghetti.

Every time that there is an event in the house, I wouldn't let the chance that there is no spaghetti. And believe me, I could survive for a whole week eating none other than spaghetti... I've tried it.

Even outside, i still love eating spaghetti. Well, eating spaghetti, for me, is like Christmas. And because of that, I've listed my Top 10 most remarkable and most favorite spaghetti that I have eaten for the past few years in my life.

10th: Ms. Arnuco's Mom's Spanish/Italian Spaghetti - Ms Arnuco is my high school teacher and she once treated us with her mom's Spanish/Italian Spaghetti.. Sweet and so spicy....

9th: Dad ni Catherine Ann Macatulad's Spaghetti - I only had this for quite a few times but the thin pasta with a spicy sauce is so nice.

8th: McDonald's Spaghetti - I like this too.. At first I thought Jollibee and McDonald's Spaghetti should be on the same place... anyway, never mind.

7th: Jollibee's Meaty Spaghetti - Okay... I like McDonalds more but the sweetness of the Filipino Style

6th: Analyn Alzona's Semi-Italian Tuna Spaghetti - Description is already on it's title.. this is so good.

5th: Mommy ni John Marvin's Spaghetti - John Marvin is a one of our high school buddy and his mom used to make delicious spaghetti... and cake... and my favorite Hardinera (Quezon Specialty)

4th: My Uncle's Masterpiece Spaghetti - My tito, who used to be a chef, makes this spaghetti that you just can't resist.

3rd: Mommy ni Catherine De Limos' Spaghetti - My College Classmate. We usually visit their house and her mom usually prepares this to us because we love it.

2nd: Ate Malou's Version of Filipino Style Spaghetti - our neighbor used to make this and it's so good.

1st: My Mom's Sweet Style Spaghetti - Of course, this is the best spaghetti I ever had... it feels like Christmas when you have it.

Well, I just craved for Spaghetti after doing this... Bye :D

mySpot | The Vampire Diaries

A new tv series is now here for us to watch. Based on the book series by L. J. Smith, The Vampire Diaries will surely make us become more vampire fanatics. Well, it's a vampire/suspense/love story where the male is the vampire and the female is human just like other stories, but believe me, this one is better than the others.

The show was first aired last September 10, 2009 but the books were released long ago.. Hmmm...

The story revolves on a high school girl, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), and the vampires, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and the other friends and victims of the vampires. Lol... But seriously, the characters here are so good in portraying their roles. Well, in short, its a vampire-human love story.

But if you have already finished reading the books, you might find some minor changes on its screen adaptation. Of course, just like other novels turned to movie films, some changes are unavoidable for them..

mySpot | Facebook Farm Town vs Real Farm

There are moments in our life when we look back to the past and see the things we've done remembering those happy moments and those funny things we did together with our friends or family.

Nah! I'm just stressed today so I browsed for some not-so-recent pics from my folder and then I found this one.

This photo was taken last June 2009 when the whole family (for the first time after 21 years in my life as far as I can remember) visited our province in Leyte. I guess the last time I went here is... hmmm... I really don't remember. Well, we visited our grand mother and some of the relatives. My mom showed us some of my lolo's lands and trees and farm fields...We walked lots of kilometers everyday to travel from one place to another... Well, it was fun.

This is my first time to ride a Carabao (kalabaw). Usually, I just ride to the Kangga because I was scared to the carabao... (FYI: The kangga is a carabao-pulled sled made usually from bamboo and wood) and of course, I wouldn't miss this chance so I had my photo taken together with my cousin (who served as the carabao operator). But don't worry, no animals were hurt during this shot. :D And believe me, going on a real farm is better than playing the farm town game in Facebook. :D

When we went to my lola's house, it became smaller than it was before (or maybe just because I am big now which made the house look smaller) But it was still the same. I just wish I go back there again someday and things would be just like the old days...

Recently, I just finished watching season 1 and 2 of The Big Bang Theory. I never thought I'd be hooked up by this series and I've been watching this series all over and over again.

It's about this two geeky physicist, Leonard and Sheldon, and this attractive blonde waitress, Penny.It's so nice and so funny that it makes me laugh even I already watched the episode for more than 2 times. It's just so funny.

While watching this, I've noticed I have some slight similarities with Sheldon, the tall super geek theoretical physicist. I'm not a geek and I don't know most about the universe but I do have the same attitude and personality with him.

Most of the time, I agree with Sheldon being sarcastic and we have this similarities. In their apartment, Sheldon only sits in a specific side of the sofa, well, sometimes I'm exactly just like that. And most of the times, when me and my friends are voting for something, like a place where to eat, my decision still wins against their votes. I don't know... It's just so funny.

If you haven't watched this yet, you should better see this because the season 3 of the series will be aired on Sep 21. I'm so excited to see this one.. Till here! Ciao:D

mySpot | Another Roller Coaster Kingdom Bug

I was, once again, playing one of my favorite online games, the Beta Version of the Roller Coaster Kingdom in Facebook.

And since I enjoyed playing this game, I still play it every time. I just happened that I noticed this problem that didn't occur few weeks ago since I started playing this game.

Although I already have this Little Apple Food Store, It was locked after they added the changes and it will be unlocked when your park points reaches 55, 000 and you should be on level 16. But unfortunately, upon reaching the goal of more than 55, 000 park points, nothing happened. My game is still on level 15 and the food store is still unlocked. Unlike before, this should automatically changed. Then I reloaded my game and voila! it was already changed.

Hmmm.. But i still like this game.. Till here, ciao!

I was googling for quite some time and noticed some new changes with Google's Search Box. Well, It became slightly bigger than before.

I searched some articles on the internet and found this funny answer to a question regarding this bigger Google text. It said that the developer might be half blind and was not wearing his glass when he made it. No offense, but it was actually funny.

At first I thought it was just an issue with my browser, because sometimes I usually go zooming in or out when using my browser. Then I thought I forgot to zoom it out again so I have to scroll the mouse to make it look smaller, but it really seemed different.

Well, after searching some articles on the web, I have found out that, Marissa Mayer, Vice President of Search Product and User Experience at Google, announced that they have changed the search box to make it symbolize their "focus on search and because it makes our clean, minimalist homepage even easier and more fun to use".

Well I guess it's just annoying on the first time but maybe well get used to it.. Till here. Ciao :D

mySpot | Roller Coaster Kingdom removal of the popularity cap; xp and item costs re-tooled

I was few points away from unlocking the "Rockin' Rocket Ride" on Roller Coaster Kingdom in Facebook. I was patiently waiting and watching my Kingdom when suddenly, the game re-loaded.

At first I thought it was just a bug or some minor problems with the game, but then I noticed that the progress bar above the game screen changed. I also looked at the rides and noticed that the Carousel was locked and the Rocket ride will be unlocked at level 20.

I was so devastated (but just over-reacting) when I saw this. I mean, how could they do this. But we have to accept the fact that we are just playing the Beta version of the game and they can do whatever they want to do because it is part of the game design as they say.

It was just so sad I was expecting the new rides to be unlocked but they just made it harder for the gamers. Well, some might not have the patience to wait for some rides to be unlocked and they may not play the game at all. I hope they thought about it first and they know what they are doing. I have nothing against them. This is just a personal point of view from an online gamer or so as what they refer to as beta tester.

M. Night Shyamalan really knows how to scare the readers of his books or the watchers of his movie. I remember his movie last year 'The Happening' when the world was attacked by an inexplicable natural disaster. In the movie, I remember there was one scene where people were walking on the park when suddenly the wind blew then they all stopped moving. Then suddenly they just started killing their selves. Pretty scary huh!

Well, that movie was a year ago. Yesterday, I was on the gym working out on the treadmill. The gym wasn't full but there were some people on the treadmill section. After running for 45 minutes on the treadmill, just exactly as I stepped out of the treadmill, the lights on the treadmill area turned off. I was walked down the stairs, and I saw the treadmill stopped. I saw a technician/staff came in but what scares me is when I saw the people on the treadmill were not moving. I don't know. It seems as if they were on the same position and they stopped moving for while the lights were off (but not so dark I can still see them)

After seeing those people on the treadmill, the first thing that came into my mind was the movie 'The Happening'. But all these thoughts were cleared out as soon as they started moving, Then the lights came back and the people started running again...

The tweet message was decoded as A=1, B=2, C=3... which makes the numbers translate to "All your O are belong to us", which also makes some people relate it to a message 'All your base are belong to us" and then the message spread out years ago thru gifs and flash messages. btw, there's a video from youtube about the message.

Well, with this Alienetic logo of UFO and tweets, I think Google is trying to say something.. Maybe about aliens or something...Maybe they know something and they are trying to warn us because the aliens might know if they will tell us... Hmm.. pretty weird huh...

If you are trying to escape from reality I think you should try to watch some tv series.

During my free times or free days, I try to watch some of these shows which completely takes me out of the real world even for quite some time.

Saving the world and being a secret spy is one of my dreams. Chuck is about a computer geek working in a store when all of the government secrets was placed into his brain, he then worked with the CIA and save the world. This one is my personal favorite and I'm still waiting for the season 3.

If you are interested on stories about aliens, try searching for Roswell although this was shown long ago, but I like it, I'm actually not yet finished watching the whole series but i've already seen the ending. But if you are interested about great powers and extraordinary things, try Heroes. Although you need to keep focus on watching 'cause you might get lost.

Gossip Girl is more on socializing or whatever, and Big Bang Theory is a comedy thing about geeks and a girl. No more info cause there are still so many shows to watch. You can also try animated cartoons although I'm not a big fan of anime, I just recently finished Avatar - the last Air Bender and it really took me out of the world.

But try to check out also Proposal Daisakusen, a Japanese series about a guy who time traveled just to correct things in life and to be with the one he love, something like that... The soundtrack is also nice...

Btw, these are just some of my personal favorites because there are plenty out there to choose from.

When I was still a young small kid, (well that was not too long ago) I used to wake up so early in the morning like 4am. At this time, during the month of December, Christmas songs are being played in the radio.

It's really nice to wake up in the morning hearing Christmas Carols. It's feels so good that it seems you don't have any problems at all. Well, when i was a child I don't have any problems at all.. Anyway, this really feels me good.

Since the Christmas Season is already fast approaching, I tried to put some Christmas songs on my phone. I used to listen at them everymorning and the feeling is still the same.

Sometimes, listening to these songs makes you think about some things you've done in your life. And sometimes, it also helps you remember good things in the past.

I think you should try doing the same things. Try to choose a Christmas song that makes you feel good. By that way, I think you could relax and enjoy the moment even for a short period of time. Advance greetings from mySpot.. Till here.. Ciao! :D

With the fast growing technology, people are now trying to depend most of their lives on technology and it really is a big help for them. People are also making use of their mobile phones to increase their productivity. And now

Few weeks ago, Nokia introduced their new product different from what they usually have. A mini laptop pc or the Nokia Booklet 3G running on Windows 7 platform with lots of features that you can find in a mobile phone.

Just like the latest nokia phones, the 3G mini laptop features A-GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc... etc.. and supports hot-swappable SIM cards. And the sleek design made from aluminum makes it more attractive. It's more like a combination of a cellphone and a laptop. I guess this would be the biggest new generation mobile phone but in the form of a laptop..

I've been checking out and monitoring my blog and I found out that some people finds my blog by googling 'why roller coaster kingdom in facebook is slow?'.

When I started playing Roller Coaster Kingdom in Facebook, it's actually faster to load and play from what I am experiencing right now. Well there are just some few things I found out upon playing this game.

Why Roller Coaster Kingdom is slow?
1. Mount point reaches its maximum. I think this application gets slow because of the enormous number of users who access the application. If the mount point of the server reaches it maximum, the server slows down. (Too technical huh!)

2. The larger your kingdom grows, the slower it loads the application. - I am not sure how the application runs, but I've noticed each time I add rides and stores, it runs slower or it is slower upon you load. It also takes too much memory which makes the browser runs slower.

3. Beta Version - The application is still on beta version (I guess). So there are some few bugs that are quite not fixed yet. There was one time where I upgraded my ride. During the upgrade, it counts from 0 to 100%, when it reached 100% the preloader bar exceeds its length and extended up to the end of the application window. But I guess they already fixed that.

Well, that's just what I think.. I hope you find it very helpful. If you really think it's a big problem, then try some other Facebook Applications. If you have any comments, just put it in the comments section...

I started playing again the game Restaurant City on Facebook. And I stopped playing PetSociety. Although sometimes I still check out my pet Ian but not on full time.

I'm looking forward to hire more people here and expand my restaurant. I know this would take time but I've got to be patient.

There are so many other games to choose from in Facebook and I just liked only a few of them. It's really hard to maintain so many applications especially if you are on a tight schedule. I'm not that so busy all the time but I spend most of my time in the office and a longer time travelling in the road. (because of the traffic). And because of that, I just have a few time left to check my Apps because I have to give some time for sleeping.

I was so familiar with this song 'Tamis ng Unang Halik' which was originally performed by Tina Paner way back long ago (not too long though) but when I heard Juris of MYMP performed a version of this song, I liked it.

She performed this song for ABS CBN's new series 'Katorse' starring Erich Gonzalez. But going back to the Juris version of the song, it was so wonderful and quite emotional. It's kinda touchy the way she sings the song.

mySpot | Mini Me - Funny Photo on Enchanted Kingdom

I was browsing my document folders on the computer when I found this not-so-recent photo of me and my college buddies when we went to Enchanted Kingdom last September 1, 2007.

And as usual, when you go somewhere and bring your camera, expect that you won't be present on the group picture unless you bring with you a tripod.

So when I took this picture, it was just a coincidence that there was a space left where my friend's food was placed. And when I saw this picture, I told my friend to do some editing on the photo and put me on the space. He actually did it but he kinda played on the pics and put me on a smaller scale.

I looked like an elemental creature here, but anyway, we are on enchanted kingdom. I remember we looked at this photo and we laughed so loud... Lolz.. :D Anyway, all of them are now graphic designers on an american-based company here in the country. I miss hanging out with them 'cause we all make fun of ourselves.

'BER' Months is just a few days ahead. As we all know, and for those who don't, 'BER' Months are the months who's month's name ends with a 'ber', like September, October, November, and December.

Well, this only means one thing for most of us. The Christmas is fast approaching. Although we still have many other holidays and events to celebrate. But when it comes to the 'ber' months, time travels so quick.

Although it's still few months away from Christmas, stores are now displaying Christmas Items and you should prepare your wishlist and giftlist as early as now so you won't miss anything.

I wish i'm still a kid (although sometimes I act like one) because this feels so good and kids got too excited. And although we have this global recession, we should not lose hope that everything will get better soon.

Let's just keep our faith and believe in Santa Claus. Because only those who believe will receive gifts from him.. Just kididng.. We'll all get our gifts. It might be different and every way. But the gift of life is more important than everything else. Keep living. Ciao :D

Bacoor, Cavite Celebrates it's 338 Foundation Year on the 3rd Bakood Festival. Lots of activities and special services lined up for the celebration.

With it's theme “Isang Pamilya…Isang Bansa…Isang pasasalamat,” the month-long celebration is full of different events and activities for the Bacoorenians and for the tourists as well.

But before all this, let me first give you a brief history why Bacoor was named 'Bacoor'. Long time ago, during the spaniards time in the country, there were some Spaniard Troops who arrived at Bacoor. This is a sample dialouge that happened during that time.

Spaniard Troops: ¿Qué lugar es ese? ("what place is that?" - pointing to Bacoor)
Local Inhabitant 1: "Ano daw??"

The local men, who were making 'Bakood' or fences from 'Bamboo' just thought the spaniards asked what they were doing.

Local Inhabitant 2: "Baka tinatanong kung ano ang ginagawa natin..." (maybe they asked what we are doing...)
Local Inhabitant 3: "oh... Bakood... Bakood.. Yes...

Spaniard Troops: okay!

Then the Spaniard troops thought the name of the place was 'Bakood' until it was renamed to 'Bakoor' and to 'Bacoor'

mySpot | Master Shifu is my receptionist

When you visit my cube (my working area), you will see my newly hired receptionist, Master Shifu.

I hope you know Master Shifu from Kung fu Panda Movie. Well, he now works for me and teaches me kung fu as well. :D Just kidding...

This toy was just given to me by my office mate last December. Last week, i was looking at it and thought of something I can do about it.

Then I placed it on the empty space on my cube desk where it stands in front of Zigger (the tiger that looks like a zebra from the background) Then I thought of putting a small table (made of paper) and put a 'receptionist' sign and a log book for my visitors.

So now, if you have a transaction to me or wants to visit to me, just make sure you book a schedule to Master Shifu. You know I'm quite busy this past few days. :D

mySpot | The '3-day Diet'

My office mates just successfully completed their first week on their 3-day diet, and all i can say is that this is no fun.

Having a strict (not super strict) diet needs great willingness to follow the meals and the determination to continue.

I think the worst part for them is that they are eating limited food (like crackers and cheese for lunch! duh??) while the others are eating their 'normal' meals on the lunch table.

There was one time where the only thing that they had was crackers and 1/8 slice of cheese. Although I am not a fan of cheese (except for cheesecakes), i tried to taste some few slices of cheese (plain cheese) and as it touches my tongue, I can't describe my reaction and they were laughing on my facial expression. I just can't take it..

It's really hard to control the food that you eat especially when you eat too much (but not too much that you would spend millions for the meal). Maybe, as i said, it really needs the ultimate determination that you could have to yourself and strength to ignore the tasty foods that you can see and smell around you.

But still, i couldn't do that! Till here. Ciao! :D

mySpot | Real Life Soundtrack

There are times we feel the loneliness within. We looked outside the window and feel the wind as it touches our face. We look so far, then music began to play. Just like a movie where a background music plays on different scenes.

Sometimes, we want things to happen just like in a movie. When suddenly, a background music is always there, ready to play.

That's why I always listen to music on the ipod or on my phone. Especially when I'm walking. I play songs which makes me feel good while walking because it doesn't make me feel tired.

When I'm running on the treadmill, I usually listen to fast-beat songs like 'I can see clearly now' by Beat Crusaders. It's really nice and fun to try. You feel the energy within. Or sometimes, listening to emotional instrumental music makes me feel good when I'm sad and not in the mood.

If you haven't done this yet, I suggest you try this 'cause this is so nice. It's fun! I suggest you try listening to the movies' orchestral background music and make a difference in your life.

Just don't do the actions and lines 'cause it won't look good. Till here! Ciao. :D

mySpot | '1 year old baby' vs 'the treadmill'

I usually go to the gym every weekends and one of my workout exercise is running in the treadmill for 60 minutes... (this includes walking)

Anyway, few days ago, i had an opportunity to take care and play with my inaanak, Yohanze Kaylo, while his mom and my friend prepares for his birthday party.

He was so makulit and malikot like wants to crawl on the floor and stands up and walk and play with the balloons. Then he goes to door 'cause he wants to go outside because his lola is there preparing the flowers.

I was so tired playing with him but I enjoyed a lot. Playing and taking care of a 1-year old boy is like running in the treadmill, or i don't know which of the two is more tiring. He is also makulit 'cause he wants to play with the balloons and he wants to eat and bite everything that he sees.

Anyway, playing with yohanze kaylo is also fun. I remember my friends laughing at me when I said, "yohanze, don't crawl... you're not a snail"... I also let him play with my e66 phone while the camera is recording video. When i watched the video, i saw him licking my phone and biting the edges. But what's funny about it is that he knows that it is a cellphone because he puts the phone on his ear and mumbles some few words like he was talking to someone over the phone.

I just want to share this amazing video that I have watched few days ago. My brother just told me about this one and I found it very amazing.

The Voca People are a cappella singers from Israel. From their video on youtube, the producer said the group was composed of 8 friendly aliens from planet voca where they communicate in a form of song.. (lolz!). But seriously, you have to watch this and be amazed by their wonderful performance.

We were having breakfast at the lunch table when we talked something about cooking.

I want to learn how to cook different types of pasta because I always love eating spaghetti :D yum yum yum...

So going back to cooking, what if the food you want to cook did not went well?... Hmmm.. Rey and Jhing thought of having the adobo photoshop (if it would exist) which would make your food look good or even better.. Lolz on this one.. :D

If the taste didn't went well then just use your creativity on the presentation... At least it would look good. Till here! Ciao.
