In 2010, An upcoming live-action film adapation of the animated tv series Avatar: The Last Airbender created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko which depicts Asian Arts, Mythology and Martial Arts.According to sources, this movie is planned to be a trilogy of the tv series to start next year.
The Last Airbender movie stars Noah Ringer as Aang (he obtained the role as 'Aang' after submitting a homemade DVD of himself practicing taekwondo plus he looked like Aang) and Dev Patel (from Slumdog Millionaire) as Prince Zuko.
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, the movie will be released on US by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies on July 2, 2010. And in the Philippines, movie will be released on the 21st of July next year. (Click here to view release dates)
However, another movie directed by James Cameron will be released in December this year. The animated 3D movie was titled "Avatar" which makes Shyamalan's film titled as "The Last Airbender".
