mySpot | Kris Aquino should also be in a money

After the death of late president Cory Aquino, there was an issue regarding on putting her with Ninoy on the 500 Philippine Peso bill. The BSP (Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas) supports this proposal as the design for the new-generation currency notes.

But the creative mind of the people didn't stop only from this. After Kris Aquino's "final heroic speech" during the last mass for her mom, Cory, people had the idea of Kris entering the world of politics. So if Kris Aquino becomes the third female of the President, I guess she should also have a version of the 500 Pesos... Maybe for limited edition only.. or the 3 of them could all be together... But these things are just some thoughts of people.

The idea of having Kris' portrait on 500 Peso bill is not that bad. She is the Philippine's Game Show Host Queen, where lot's of people won large amounts of money. I think she also helped charitable institutions and she is also a public icon. Kris Aquino might be a very controversial woman but deep inside her lives a very wonderful person.

This is an idea I just want to share... It's just some random thoughts while thinking on the different side of things.

mySpot | A Deadly Mistake

We all know and have witnessed the death of a very important person for the whole Filipinos. Former President Cory Aquino died last August 1, 2009 after her long battle with colon cancer.

One of the roles of the media is to keep the people updated with all the latest happenings and events with this event. Whether written or in radio and tv telecast, their role is to give us information.

However, in some circumstances, mistakes are unavoidable so they have to be careful in giving information. Like last August 6 where a news paper released in frontpage a photo of Pres. Cory Aquino's coffin being brought out of Manila Cathedral. But look carefully and read the caption below the phote. I believe the name mentioned is still alive and was able to pay her respect for Pres. Cory Aquino.

Well, while watching the TV broadcast, I noticed some media reporters being confused with the person's name. Hmm.. Maybe is it because of the 'A' which makes them confused??? But for the newspaper, I'm not sure what kind of excuse they might have. Before publishing newspapers, I believe the contents undergoes several stages like proofreading, copyrighting etc. whatever it maybe... Kung sa bata pa iyan, sasabihin ng bata na 'lagot kayo'.

But that is just a mistake. Like we always say and hear, nobody is perfect, "except for the lunch table cast.. " Lolz! It was just a mistake that happened because the people behind these are busy working so fast that they need to publish this asap. I don't know... Just don't let this happen again.. This is like the 'I am the dog who leave you' version in youtube from Beyonce's Listen.

Till here! Ciao.

mySpot | August 5 was declared Non-Working Holiday

August 5, 2009 (Wednesday), was the scheduled date for the burial of the late former president Cory Aquino. She will be buried beside her husband Ninoy Aquino, in Manila Memorial Park.

To commemorate the late president, MalacaƱang declared the said date as a Special Non-working holiday as for the Filipinos to pay respect and appreciation to Cory.

Even President Gloria Arroyo would cut short her trip to US for her to be able to attend the funeral.

I'm sure this is the kind of holiday everyone would NOT be so excited of. No classes and no work on that day.

mySpot | Salamat at Paalam Cory

It was confirmed early this morning by Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III that the former President Cory Aquino passed away due to cardio-respiratory arrest.

She died at the age of 76 after losing from her long fight from colon cancer where she was confined in Makati Medical Hospital for almost a month.

The cold rainy weather made also the country gloomy. News and radio broadcasts shows some videos of her during her time as president.

Cory Aquino was the first female president of the Philippines and also Asia's first female president.

She might died physically but she will still remain alive in the hearts of the Filipinos and will inspire everyone.

We should all thank her for bringing up democracy in our country and for being a good leader even after her term.

Maraming Salamat at Paalam Tita Cory.

mySpot | "Tie a yellow ribbon"

I was on a bus this morning while looking outside the window when I saw some yellow ribbons tied on grills of the gates of De La Salle University in Taft. I think they support the "tie a yellow ribbon" movement to show their support for Cory Aquino who is currently sick and weak.

I also remember from the news that I heard is that they are encouraging everyone to tie a yellow ribbon to show their support and to pray for the health of former President cory Aquino. And even the pope remembers her in His prayers.

If only santino is here, he would not stop praying to 'Bro' so that she will get better soon. let us just pray for her health so that she would be Ok soon.
